Geeky at Home: Living room home tour

I’m feeling more open lately. Maybe even more willing to share. So, I decided I would start to show some different parts of my home with you, so you can see that I am in fact living as I say I do. I like to believe that my home is geeky… while still being pretty darn chic too.

For the first round of this home tour, I give you my living room.

This is the zone. The corner with the knit blanket and the white pillow is my spot and my spot alone. I really don’t let anyone else sit there. The owl’s name is Pigewidgeon. The glass canister contains old lightbulbs for all my good ideas that never came to be. The furry gold pillow is one of my favorite things. It’s one of these guys from West Elm. When I bought it, my boyfriend told me he would never put that pillow in his lap, because it would look like a muppet was giving him a you-know-what.

This bookshelf is one of my favorites. It has so many goodies on it. The DIY art tutorial is here. The quote, “All that Glitters is Not Gold,” should be familiar to my LOTR friends. The gradiated LEGO pieces in a vase was a little experiment I did here.

That’s all for today! More touring next month!
