This Week in Geek: Spacionary & Mars Rover remembers Ray

I invented a word this week and I’m quite proud of it.

    SPACIONARY.

Space themed stationary. Or stationary with a space theme. However you like it, grammatically speaking.

I was so inspired by Mini Eco’s super easy tutorial that I went and made some cards to go in these cool envelopes. And then I shared it with you! You can download it here.

It’s going to be a space-themed day around here, because my next favoite story of the week is decidedly NASA-centric too.

Mars Rover dedicates landing spot to Ray Bradbury
In a tweet on Wednesday, the Mars Rover dedicated its landing spot to Ray Bradbury. A sweet gesture to the man who brought us The Martian Chronicles. For the history books and in our hearts, the spot will be called Bradbury Landing.

    A birthday card you really shouldn’t miss…
We have talked about my birthday around here way more than I’m comfortable with, but bear with me as I share one more thing. My brother made me an awesome Sherlock-themed card where my boyf TJ is Sherlock and my bro, Adam, personifies the brainy-sidekick John Watson. It’s adorable. And inside, I’m in a TARDIS. These are things that geeks dream of at night. Seriously, TJ is so cute as Benny Cumber.

Every week I remind you that I write things in other places, but just in case you have early onset dementia, here’s me reminding you again. I’M A TECH WRITER FOR APARTMENT THERAPY! Isn’t that cool?
