Being Geek Chic is written and edited by Elizabeth Giorgi, a writer and filmmaker from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In 2010, she was nominated for a Webby and won an Emmy for Science of Watchmen, a documentary short analyzing the physics behind Dr. Manhattan.

She’s a social media and web strategist who currently works for a communications consulting firm in Minneapolis. She’s also a contributor for Apartment Therapy and The Mary Sue.

You can contact her at [email protected] and follow her on Twitter @lizgiorgi

Let me switch out of third person mode to get real with you for one second: I am always looking for people to partner and create with, so don’t ever be afraid to drop me a line. A girl’s gotta work.

    Alright, thanks.

Emma Bauer is Being Geek Chic’s official intern and Lady Geek contributor. Clearly, she’s got great taste.

She is a PR enthusiast, history scholar, tea drinker, fashion devotee, and of course, aspires to Be Geek Chic.

She currently writes the Lady Geek of the Week column and is always looking for more lovely women to feature. Have a recommendation? Email her at [email protected] with your recommendations and kind greetings. Maybe ask her about her favorite Bob Dylan song. (Hint: she’s not so keen on the newer tracks.)

Emma Carew Grovum is the certified food contributor to Being Geek Chic.

When she’s not attending midnight premieres or looking for Nerd Recipe ideas, she is the homepage and social media editor at Foreign Policy.

She previously worked as the Digital Editor for The Cooking Club of America and blogs at kitchendreamer.blogspot.com

On top of being an internet food wunderkind, Emma loves Star Wars, pandas and all things Joss Whedon.
