New LEGO sets: Wonder Woman needs saving?!

Thanks to dcwomenkickingass for pointing this out:

"The new Batman Lego sets will be here soon and here via Brick Heroes is a look at two featuring DC women. The Batman/Catwoman looks fun. But the Wonder Woman (or really Superman/Lex Luthor) looks .. well go look.

According to the description, Batman trying to stop Catwoman from getting away with a diamond. I’m sure this will not end like Catwoman #1."

dcwomenkickingass also points out similar problems with the Superman/Wonder Woman set. It’s being released in France, so some translation was required to get the full idea, but the photos in both instances make the sentiment completely clear.

    This is translated from French:

“‘The great enemy of Superman, Lex Luthor, Kryptonite has built a robot and captured Wonder Woman. Can Superman can he avoid weakening the power of the gun Luthor and kryptonite to defeat his evil enemy? “

Really? Really? The first first Lego set with Wonder Woman and she has to be saved by Superman?"

I’m totally bummed out about this as well. I’m a huge LEGO nerd, so the fact that this is how the sets are being packaged and presented in incredibly disappointing. What does LEGO have to say to female fans? Well, apparently they need saving.
