The true story of the boy wizard GoldNimbus73.
My brother made the best birthday card ever this year. Last year, we went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter around this time and it was such a great experience for all three of us. Here’s his sweet blog post about it.
I’ve always preferred making birthday cards for people as opposed to buying them. I feel it’s a far more heartfelt and meaningful way to show someone how you feel. Moreover, I quite enjoy the challenge that goes into making a card that really connects with a person (and has special meaning for only that person).
With that in mind, behold my sister’s birthday card for this year. She is about as big a Potterhead as a person can be, so this seemed appropriate.
Pictured are my renditions of my sister Elizabeth (she of Being Geek Chic), her boyfriend and my friend TJ (he of Son of Minnesota), and myself. It’s funny because, a drunk man in a Caribou Coffee once told us we had a Harry, Ron and Hermione vibe about us. I leave it to those who know us to ponder both my drawing ability (or lack thereof) and the astuteness of that drunk Caribou patron…
Happy birthday, sis.
